Vasteras SK FK's arena is set to be ready on time for the next season. After Vasteras SK FK's open letter about the situation, with concerns about having to play home matches in Örebro next season, a new plan has been agreed upon to make the arena ready for top-tier football by next season.

What happened?

Västerås city and VSK have now managed to agree on a plan of priorities, to get the necessary expansion in the near future.

Vasteras SK FK is currently 1st in Superettan with 65 points, 20 wins, 5 draws and 5 losses from 30 matches. The club also has a goal difference of +32, with 62 goals scored and 30 goals conceded.

Why is it important?

It is important for Vasteras SK FK that the arena is ready on time, as the club otherwise may be forced to play on its reserve plan – Behrn Arena in Örebro.

What will happen next?

Västerås city and VSK will work together to get the necessary expansion. A joint project organization will be created to lead the work forward.
